Faculty of Education and Language Program Email: jeckykalakmabin6@gmail.com Atbalmin tribe The Atbalmin tribe is an ethnic group that inhabits the border area between Telefomin district and the Pegunungan Bintang, in West Sepik and the Papua Highlands Province. The area inhabited by this tribe is included in the Okmekmin traditional territory. This tribe also has something unique, namely a typical greeting called Yapkup/Yepmum. In general, based on references from books and journals, it is recorded that the Telefomin area is inhabited by six tribes, namely the Atbalmin, Miyanmin, Tifolmin, Trefolmin, Oksapmin, and Urapmin, plus seven tribes in the Pegunungan Bintang, namely the Ngalum, Lepki, Ketengban, Murop, Kimki, Arintap, and Yetfa.
